Cinema Series 405: Ben Stone / Paris, Texas

We've mixed things up a bit this series by inviting 5 guests to each choose and present a "road movie".

Designer, city planner, artist and Executive Director of Station North Arts & Entertainment District, Inc., Ben Stone brings us Paris, Texas (1984) on March 8th.

Wim Wenders most acclaimed film features the talents of Sam Shepherd (screenplay), Ry Cooder (soundtrack) and Harry Dean Stanton and Nastassja Kinski (acting).

A quintessential road movie, Paris, Texas is a straightforward, yet mesmerizing story of loss, sacrafice and grief, that, as Roger Ebert said, " ..is about archetypal longings, set in American myth... it is about a journey which leads from one to the other and ends in a form of happiness."
